It's felt a lot more like spring this month, and since it's now daylight at hometime, that's meant a lot more opportunity to soak up the sun (or the grey, drizzly clouds) on the way home. There will still be a blossom roundup coming up, but for now, here are some more of my favourite photos from the month. (You can also see March's photodump here, and find all the photo dumps here.)

Looking through a wooden fence towards a bus standing at a stop with its doors open. It's a 108 to Stratford International. The driver is looking at something in his cab, and the door is open.
Two mute swans pootle along a calm pond. One of them, the closest to camera, preens themselves. A red-pink buoy, along with another bird and another buoy, float in the distance.
Preening
In black and white, a path alongside a river with teasels and dormant reeds. A person walks over a small bridge with railings as parapets and a life ring. The sun casts their shadow and that of the railings in sharp contrast.
A view I see almost every day, but the shadows really struck perfectly for this one. (Shot on Ilford FP4, developed at Rapid Eye)
A street called Cruikshank Road with a row of terraced houses and some guardrail around a green area. Two large cherry trees sit in the grassy area, and are in full white blossom, which is feathered by the the sun from behind.
I'm glad I came back this way in the afternoon. (Shot on Portra 400 exposed at 200)
Close-up on branches of a cherry tree festooned with white blossom flowers.
Not pictured: the sound of delighted bees feasting on their buffet. 🐝 (Shot on Portra 400 exposed at 200)
A brick tower block with concrete balconies with yellow balustrades and window frames. A pink tree is in blossom in the foreground, glowing with backlight from an evening sun.
